Lima, Oct. 06 (ANDINA). Taca Airlines will launch four direct flights from its Lima hub to Miami (United States), Mendoza (Argentina), Antofagasta (Chile) and Brasilia (Brazil), which will result in a 25% increase in operations from the Peruvian capital, Taca's Sales Manager Nani Garrues reported today.

“About 170,000 passengers use Taca's hub in Lima as a transfer point. Sometimes, they spend the night in the city and enjoy the gastronomy,” he said.

The Lima-Mendoza route will also start operations on December 1st and will have 3 flights per week, becoming the second point of connection in Lima with Argentina. Taca operates 17 direct flights to Buenos Aires.

The Lima-Antofagasta route will start to operate on January 3rd, 2011, with 3 flights per week, focusing on the corporate segment.

Finally, the Lima-Brasilia route will start operations on December 15, with 3 weekly flights.
